Russia based Alfa Fellowship Program for Africans by fundsforngos Organisation USA

Russia based Alfa bank sponsored Fellowship Program  is currently accepting applications from eligible US and British young professionals.  Alfa Fellowship Program offers work assignments to qualified young professionals at leading organizations in Russia.

This is a high-level professional development exchange program that offers fellowships to 10 American and 5 British citizens per year. The fellowship program wishes to expand networks of American, British and Russian professionals and develop greater intercultural understanding among the citizens of US, UK and Russia.
Program Highlights

Owing to its extensive contacts throughout industry, media, government and nonprofit institutions in Russia, the Alfa Fellowship Program works together with participants in identifying suitable work placements at leading institutions in Russia in business, media, and civil society. The Alfa Fellowship Program endeavors to secure positions that meet the interests of both the participants and host institutions. Fellows’ progress is closely monitored by the Fund for International Fellowships and Cultural Dialogue in Moscow.

In addition to individualized professional assignments, the Alfa Fellowship Program includes:

Four-month Russian language tutoring program in the U.S./U.K.
Four-month Russian language course in Moscow
Orientation seminar in Washington, D.C., with accommodation and roundtrip travel included
Housing in Moscow for the duration of the program
Monthly stipend
Limited international health, accident, and liability insurance
Moscow seminar program
Three regional excursions throughout Russia and one to a neighbouring country

Program Eligibility

Candidates for the Alfa Fellowship Program must meet the following eligibility requirements:
U.S. or U.K. citizen
25–35 years old at the application deadline
Russian proficiency is preferred; qualified candidates with fluency in a second language may be considered
Graduate-level degree or equivalent training in business, economics, journalism, law, public policy, or government
At least two years of relevant work experience
Candidates without graduate degrees must demonstrate extensive and equivalent professional experience in their field, approximately six years, in order to qualify for the Alfa Fellowship Program.

Robert Bosch Foundation invites applications for the Fellowship Program  from US graduates

Robert Bosch Foundation is currently seeking applications for the Fellowship Program aimed at creating a new generation of American leaders by offering young Americans an opportunity to complete a professional development program in Germany.

This fellowship program is of nine-month duration and includes two work phases at leading German institutions. Both the phases are customized to individual fellow’s professional expertise. Fellows under this program are selected from business administration, journalism, law, public policy and closely related fields.
Program Description

-        Two high-level work phases at leading institutions in Germany, customized to the Fellow’s interests. Past host institutions have included federal and local government, private corporations, media outlets, and NGOs.

-        Three seminars across Europe, each lasting several weeks and covering issues of German, European and transatlantic concern

-        Monthly stipend of EUR 2,000 (tax-free in Germany) for the duration of the program, September through May

-        Health, accident, and liability insurance

-        Financial support for an accompanying spouse and children, including 50% of travel costs, supplemental living stipend, health insurance, and limited funding for language training

-        Accommodation and roundtrip travel (from U.S. points only) for orientation program in Washington D.C.

-        Transatlantic flight and seminar travel throughout Europe

-        Generous funding for language training in the U.S. and Germany prior to program start; no German language skills are required at time of application

-        Membership in active Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Alumni Association with over 400 members
Eligibility

Candidates for the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program must meet the following requirements:

-        U.S. citizen

-        23–34 years old at the application deadline

-        At least two years of relevant work experience

-        Graduate degree or equivalent training in business administration, journalism, law, public policy, international relations, or a closely related field

-        Evidence of outstanding professional performance and community involvement

-        No German language skills are required at time of application; however, the willingness and commitment to participate in language training based on the results of an evaluation at the selection meeting is essential.

-        Most Bosch Fellows are required to complete four months of private tutoring in the U.S. (up to eight hours per week) and three months of intensive language training in Berlin prior to the start of the program. All language training is funded by Robert Bosch Stiftung.
