DAAD Research Internships in Science and Engineering
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is pleased to announce that it will continue the successful RISE (Research Internships in Science and Engineering) progamme during summer 2011.
News for : RISE in North America becomes RISE Worldwide!
The DAAD is inviting research groups from all over the world to host a German undergraduate to assist with their research in the summer of . Internship projects can be submitted online at www.daad.de/rise-weltweit. The database for project proposals is now open until November 26, 2010.
Once the DAAD has checked your offer concerning formal eligibility, it will be posted in the intern database on our website. This database is accessible to anyone who is interested in applying and has registered online. Students participating in this programme come from the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, engineering, or a closely related field, and will receive a DAAD scholarship to help cover living expenses and travel costs.
Each student applying for an internship may apply for up to three projects, between December 6, 2010 and January 16, 2011. The prospective hosts are then asked to provide the DAAD with a ranking of the applications for their projects which will be taken into account when matching students to projects.
Please note: Only those students whose applications have been accepted, reviewed and ranked by a potential host may be placed with that host’s project. However, we cannot guarantee in every case that a project provider will be matched with his or her top applicant. Furthermore, due to limited funding some projects may not be matched with an intern at all.
